@XEmWorldX - It wouldn't help you forget someone, but if there were negative emotions associated with that person, it could help reduce or remove those feelings.

@gigagroove - That's called (in both the literal and metaphorical context) wrongful discrimination. This happens when someones prejudices prevent them from accepting the premise of an offer or entertaining the option of learning more. This may include a belief about a certain race in your case, which would keep them from entertaining a new idea or getting to know a person who looks different from their friends.

@JonahTorn - Sure, but that's a major exception under a fairly dramatic circumstance. Like any model, this one makes some basic assumptions of an "average and healthy individual" and doesn't take into account all possible situations, disorders, or wild cards that may arise.

Nice video explaining hypnosis...but why do I get the feeling he's using hypnosis techniques as he's explaining. I'm not criticizing; just an observation.

I had knowledge of this subject already, but still watched the video, and WOW you really broke it down. Lol.

interesting accept that our experiences with a person will not even allow us to recognize them as who they are if we have and brain (injury or some other cause) that causes just the right lesion in just the right way in the fusiform gyrus. This could cause what has been called Capgras delusion, where one believes people like parents or even their homes are not their parents or their homes, pets, friends ect. This delusion is not so much a new belief as the absence of a belief when seeing.

@thoms1986 thanks for answering my question, ive found a hypnotherapist near me so ill go there. i would love to be able to fully forget this person because this person bullied me and ruined a part of my life.

@XEmWorldX hypnoses can help u focus your attention on other things, so it lowers your awareness for it. But why would u want to do that? u probably dont want to forget the person, u want to have different feelings toward this person. Hypnoses can do that, but i would go for the Rational Emotive Therapie, abc method with this question.
