Isn't it funny how we, the public, are always blamed as being the main cause of pollution, when we aren't the ones making the products available to us that pollute. Also, there is a load of technology that the gov't had purposely hidden from us, to make money off of gasoline, that would have prevented a lot of air pollution. Look up Nikola Tesla. He invented electromagnetic enrgy sources, which create clean free energy from thin air using magnets. Right now you can make your car run on magnets.

The alternator in a car engine can be re-configured to work using magnets instead of gas. Do some research to find out for yourself. May be a good alternative if gas becomes unavailable with the economic problems.

@DavoT2: "So the United States Academy of Science and the IPCC are both corrupt?" Are you somehow implying that they are NOT?

@Moragauth Egalitarians have small penises, which is why they are egalitarian.

How do you think they get away with it?

Bill Gates deserves to be rich, no doubt, but how can anyone claim to own the resources that his products have been made from? If corporations were not exploiting people to manufacture them things would be different. I'm not saying to pay the laborers what Gates earns, but at least a living wage might be nice.

Sure guys, sounds great until someone dumps some toxic waste into your water supply. idiots!

To clean up your community, do so every week...on a very large scale it becomes political...the politicians have yards of political, bureaucratic BS to get through that doesn't solve anything...but gives tax breaks for certain large companies...and this is my issue with big movements like the green movement. We can accomplish a lot on our own--on a community, city, state level...don't let DC stick their fingers in it...they will use "global" as a word to allow anyone, anywhere to do that.

Interesting way to frame the debate at the start there. So, let me get this right, the green movements in India where people are desperatley trying to save their way of life in the face of corporate greed, just view themselves as losers. Maybe somebody should tell them. Don't be surprised if you get a smack in the teeth. This is not a philosophical discussion, it is distorted bullshit.
