I took my CERT course last year and loved it. I also took their "Self Care/Buddy Care" course. I'm considering training with my county's Medical Reserve Corps too.

I'm part of the RACES and Medical Reserve corp and recently I'm trying out with cert and its interesting though most stuff they go through is common sense

@ispankmydaughter77 but cert teams are not there to DETAIN POWER BUT to be there to assist and help your neighbors in time of disasters CERT TEAMS ARE NOT POLICE OFFICERS.

There you go buddy, working both sides of the street. Take a bow, ( thinking.....hmm business has been a little slow...maybe I better let of couple of these folks pass on to the other side. I'll just be sure to put my business card in their pocket ) Excellent business model, try to rescue them and if you can't perform the funeral service. PLEASE KNOW I AM JOKING ! I have tremendous respect for all CERT volunteers ! I hope to join in my area. I hope my disability will prevent it.
